Today’s workshop was for families in the half term break. Again Forest Hall library provided fantastic hosts for this Free workshop. A great one for mums, dads, carers and children to take part in a restful morning simply drawing nature. I do insist on a few rules and as usual rule one is when drawing slugs, which you must, include a lovely red heart alongside him/her.
Second rule it drawing with a pen and not a pencil - why? This is to ensure that people draw with some freedom and not get bogged down with trying to make that “perfect” drawing - nothing in nature is perfect after all. It is so liberating working straight onto paper with a pen and living with your mistakes and after a short while you forget you are not using a pencil!
